ROUTEOGRAPH / TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective 27 August 2026 · routeograph is operated by Westmidlanders LLC, a Wyoming (USA) limited liability company ("we", "us"). By using routeograph you agree to these terms.
The service
routeograph turns GPS route files you upload into poster artwork you can preview, download, and order as a print. It is provided as-is and may change, pause, or end. Beta features may change or be removed.
Eligibility
To buy credits or order prints you must be 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live) and able to enter a contract. The service is not directed at children under 13.
Your content
You keep all rights to the files you upload. You grant us a limited license to process a file only to render your poster and run the service, ending when the render and its retention window end. Upload only activities that are yours or that you are authorized to use, and only data you have the right to submit.
Your poster
The poster produced from your route is yours to use, personally or commercially. Where it includes terrain contours or street or water layers, the source data requires attribution. The credit printed in the margin satisfies it, and removing it makes further distribution your responsibility (see data credits).
Acceptable use
Do not upload unlawful content, or data with others' personal information you are not authorized to use. Do not probe, disrupt, or overload the service, and respect rate limits. We may refuse or remove renders that violate these terms.
Accounts
Some features require an account. Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity under it. We may suspend or close accounts for breach of these terms or suspected fraud. You can leave at any time and ask us to delete your account data, except records we must keep by law.
Accuracy
Distance, elevation, time, and pace are estimates from your device's recording and may differ from other platforms. Terrain contours come from public survey data of varying resolution. Posters are artwork and are not suitable for navigation or any safety-of-life purpose.
Credits and purchases
Print-resolution downloads use credits, sold in packs via Stripe. One credit covers one poster: the first export spends it, and later downloads of that poster, in any format, are free. Credits do not expire. Unused credits are refundable on request within 14 days of purchase. A spent credit is not. Prices show at checkout and may change for future purchases. If a payment is reversed or charged back, we may revoke the credits it funded and suspend related access.
The power user plan
The power user plan is a monthly subscription that covers digital exports while it is live, up to the limit set out below. It renews automatically each month at the price shown at checkout, charged to your payment method on file, until you cancel. Physical prints and gift codes are not included and are charged separately.
You can cancel at any time from the studio, which opens Stripe's billing page. Cancel before your renewal date and you will not be charged again. Cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps the plan running to the end of the month you have already paid for. We do not refund part of a month that has started. Any poster you exported while the plan was live stays free to download afterwards.
The plan is for one person making their own posters. One account can export up to 40 new posters in any 24 hours. Re-downloading posters you already have is never counted towards that, however many times you do it. We will tell you if you reach the limit, and you can write to us if you have a real reason to need more. We may change this number, and will give at least 30 days' notice by email before lowering it. We may suspend or end a plan being used to resell exports, to share one account across several people, or to run automated bulk exports.
If a renewal payment fails, the plan stops covering new exports when the month it paid for ends. We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice by email, and the new price applies from your next renewal after that notice.
Physical prints
You can order a physical print of your poster. Prints are made and shipped by a third-party fulfillment partner, currently to United States addresses only. Checkout prices include shipping and are separate from download credits and the power user plan. Give a correct shipping name and address. We are not responsible for delays or losses from a wrong address, and delivery times are estimates.
Because each print is made to order, it goes to the printer as soon as your payment completes, so an order cannot be changed or canceled after checkout, and a finished print cannot be returned for a change of mind. If a print arrives damaged or defective, or does not arrive, contact us within 30 days and we will reprint or refund it, whichever you prefer. A photo of any damage helps us make it right quickly. This does not limit rights you may have under consumer law.
We print the design exactly as the preview shows it, and it is fixed once you order. Check your title and the numbers before you pay. We cannot change a poster that is already in production.
Printed color will not match your screen exactly. A screen emits light and a press lays down ink, so expect some shift, most noticeably on the dark colorways. This is normal and we do not treat it as a defect.
Buying a print also gives you the digital file of that poster at no extra cost. It appears in your exports once the order is paid, and downloading it again is always free.
Disclaimers and liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, AND OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF WHAT YOU PAID US IN THE PRIOR TWELVE MONTHS OR FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO SOME MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Indemnification
You will cover us against claims and costs arising from content you upload or your breach of these terms, including any claim that your file infringes someone's rights or holds their data without authority.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Wyoming law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes go to the state or federal courts in Wyoming. We may assign these terms, for example in an acquisition. You may not. They are the entire agreement between us. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver, and if any provision is unenforceable the rest stays in effect.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. Material changes move the effective date above, and continued use is acceptance. Contact: hello@routeograph.com.
